Wednesday Manager Brian Laws was raging mad last night after the Reserves 6-2 defeat  away to Shrewsbury `It worries me that we have such a paper thin squad, if any of those players want to get near the first team they have to buck up" Sean McAuley added ""Nobody really put in a good performance apart from Leon Clarke, who worked hard, scored a good goal and set another one up. But on the whole it was very poor and the players have to realise that it is not good enough."

Deon Burton and Richard Wood The Owls manager has also turned down  on trial defender John Halls after his display last night. There are growing rumours that Coventry City are going to make a very strong bid to sign Team Captain Richard Wood before the Monday deadline.Birmingham , Crystal Palace and an unamed Premiership club (thought to be Fulham ) are also sniffing around and while he has always said that he is very happy at Hillsborough and no plans to leave, could the `club politics` that`s getting everyone connected with Wednesday down at the moment, help change his mind ?
