Snooze article says: "I could recall Pitman from Bournemouth" in the context of injuries & number of games coming up. He's also realised the number of games some others like Burgess & Curtis have played & may need to rest them. He also admitted he hasn't spoken to Pitman for a few weeks now either. What the hell is going on here? The player is contracted to PFC until the end of the season & are paying his wages but he's actually training with the Cherries U/21s Not U 23's as mentioned on here before. This is sheer lunacy & needs sorting out now not in a months time. I find it hard to believe that this is solely KJ's decision & Not ME or MC being involved. If KJ is unwilling to sort out one of them surely needs to step in.

Not if he's disrupting the team! There's always two sides to a disagreement and it's interesting some fans always take a certain side. Strange, because our team and management are doing really well.

Are you sure he's training WITH the U21's and not just training the u21's [;)]
Getting ready for life after football by getting some experience and maybe even going for his badges..

Happy with the strikers that we are playing and I think we can all see how the father time is creeping up on Brett.

But not happy at all with the manner of the way we are treating someone who kept us up when he signed for us. Respect has been earned and should be shown.

Perhaps Pitman is not keen on being managed.

I think we're missing the point here in that he's our player & should be training at the Roko not on a training pitch in Bournemouth.

We are still paying his wages. KJ needs to get tat through is head or it needs to be taken out of his hands.

This totally bad player management from from the Directors who have given Kenny a free hand.

I can't believe this would be allowed at any other league club.

Neither Pitman or Kenny will back down so MC as MD needs to mediate.

Mikey are you Pitmans love child?
Whenever i see you post it invariably is bemoaning why Pitman is not playing... why he not on bench and now why he not training with squad.
Get over it he is yesterdays news clearly the management do not rate him highly enough to be first choice.. second choice... third choice... or even fourth choice.
No one here knows the full reasons behind the scenes, why this has come about. Is he too selfish? disruptive, slowing down etc etc whatever it is I do not believe KJ would have binned him out of a spat they may have had, KJ is not the type of guy IMO who puts the team second.

What the hell is going on here?

Since the beginning of the year, we have won 11, drawn 1 and lost 1, and won 11 of the last 12 since drawing at Gillingham

Pitman was on the coach, and came off the bench for the previous 2 defeats before this run, thrashings at MK Dons and Accrington. Pitman has obviously been a disruptive influence in and around the team since he was relieved of the captaincy, and he was a rubbish captain.

What the hell is going on here? Pompey have found a winning formula, and it doesn't involve Pitman, and hardly ever Evans.

KJ may have dropped him, and with spectacularly good results, but there is no evidence that he has 'binned' him. Just as likely that Pitman has 'binned' himself by walking out in a huff.

He's lucky he's been handed the opportunity to get some coaching experience for when he finishes playing football, which won't be long.

He's obviously disruptive, he will obviously leave. Only in the most dire of injury circumstances will he return. Hence why not sold.

Other managers would have him training on his own away from the team.

Get over your Pitman obsession, Pompey have moved beyond him and are winning more, playing better and have a better team spirit.

I'm of the opinion that KJ hasn't told BP to sod off you're not training with us. I do believe our manager has a bit of a ruthless streak when it comes to his team selection, is that good or bad? The choice to train in Bournemouth is highly likely to have been BPs.

He may well of told him, he's not in his future plans at the moment but that might change, understandably that's up for fair debate between the fans.

We have a number of good players for this league wanting to desperately play also who are not causing a fuss, they need to be ready when called upon, that's what we pay them for.

having him reasonably fit and on standby if needed probably suit everyone. Perhaps he should go and train with exeter instead of Bournemouth though, gt himself set for next season.

The manager is paid to manage. With any faults KJ may or may not have he has been around changing rooms a long time. Trust him to manage and if that means isolating detrimental influences in the squad then all power to him.

None of us actually know what happened here do we?

People seem to base their assessment on whether they like Pitman or not. If they do, Jackett is a tosser, if they donít itís good management.

Maybe one day weíll get the full story. 😎

To end the debate. No I'm Not related to Pitman but hate to see our best finisher being put out to rot.

Everything is fine with results at present but in the Sunderland & Shrewsbury games we should have score more goals which is down to lack of clinical finishing.

I think there will be a sting in the tail though if we get a couple of injuries to Marquis or Harrison or both.

If KJ doesn't want him at the club he should have got rid of him last month in the transfer window & got in a replacement.

Maybe he did try to sell him or loan but we'll never know.

Let's all hope it all works out well & we get promotion but if we don't on K.J.'s head be it.
