No body likes sportswear as much as me and that’s as true as the day is long, I do however adder to the fact that true style means dressing to the occasion, i.e. wearing a pair of bj’s to take your nanna out for tea in the middle of Decembers not the greatest of looks…welcome FOLK.

Those of you that used to follow us during the players inc mag stage may have heard me drop this label before but its that fucking cool it needs a full page.

If your not aware of this label yet and your into your clobber I envy the buzz your gonna get when you clap eyes on the products that FOLK are churning out and theirs no better time to check out functional threads then their A/W ranges, in my opinion this is when the designers really get to play with their ideas and they do!

Basically just think Ralph Lauren designed by and for young English country dressers!!!

If your after some combo’s to hang with your chinos just look on the folk website and you can basically kit out yourself with a new wardrobe with a classic English feel but freshened up with youthful colours and patterns.

As I love this label so much iv searched the internet and all other sources to find you a few choice picks, strangely enough with the clobber that these guys are flinging us its by far easy to find, equally good in both measures.

Ill start off with knitwear as this is the thing that attracted me to this label in the 1st place…

The cozy…

Folk have clearly been as found of this item as me, as its one of the company’s staple items for both summer and winter campaigns, the Button Up Cardigan is made from a Cozy 100% Merino wool and unlike the summer version its Knitted a guage heavier to make it a perfect item for the winter.

its loosely fitted shape means that it can be worn as a cardigan or a light jacket and comes in a handful of winter colours so can be worn with chinos or jeans, trainers or suede’s, you’ll look the bollocks.

The crochet cardigan…

What can I say about this cardigan, it’s the dogs bollocks! Weir all into football so unfortunately usually means we all like a beer which sometimes means our torsos aren’t as fit as we thought they would have turned out so its hard to feel smart sometimes, incomes a chunky shoal neck, possibly one of the only items that look equally as good on a 10st gadgey as it does on a 18st one.

If you lads don’t know this by now im fully in love with colours and textures (hence me having a full blown love affair with stone island) so if you get the chance to check out the other colour ranges in this item you might be as impressed as me.

The body of the cardigan is machine knitted in rice stitch and the neck is crochet hand knitted with button down detail on the corners of the neck scarf.

Footwear… the ALARIC, possibly one of the best shoe iv seen with out being made by Clarks, slim in both sole and body. Look at the pics. Enough said

Last but not least my top pick of the jacket range and it’s the Canvas Overcoat With Button Out Liner. I’m in love. This item wouldn’t look out of place in a Nigel cabourne archive, which cant be bad, and priced at under 300 sheets it’s a guilt free buy.

Made from 100% cotton washed canvas you can picture the feel of this jacket on your shoulders before you’ve even touched it, all the functions on this garment are 100% functional which leads to a tighter fit and a more groomed look with a full casual piece, my favourite things.
