After a six year gap, Newcastle reacquaint themselves with St. Marys Stadium this afternoon in a 3pm kick-off that isn't televised in the UK.

Attempting to pick themselves up after their last two successive Premier League defeats, Newcastle go to extend their eight game unbeaten streak against the Saints.

It's almost easier to list those who are available than plough through the lengthening injury list, but the Magpies are without the suspended Fabricio Coloccini, plus injury victims Shola Ameobi, Hatem Ben Arfa, Yohan Cabaye, Dan Gosling, Ryan Taylor, Haris Vuckic, Xisco and rookie Adam Campbell.

In addition, there are doubts over the fitness of Papiss Cisse following his recurring back problem. While Gabriel Obertan and Jonas Gutierrez are facing late fitness tests.

Such is the shortage of players that Nile Ranger has been added to the squad, despite recent statements from Alan Pardew that the Magpie miscreant wasn't yet back in the fold after his well-documented misadventures.

Midfielder Richard Chaplow may return after injury, but a thigh problem is anticipated to sideline defender Frazer Richardson.
