Bryan Adams  brought Glasgow to its feet at the SECC after played bringing Waking Up The Neighbours, his greatest commercial success, on tour to Glasgow twenty years on.
Men, children and women….mostly women, came from all over to see their favourite rocker and some would say pin up (yes Tracey, I am talking about you!) take to the stage again and boy did this boy deliver!

Looking cool as he took to the stage, he made sure the Glasgow crowd would be on their feet from first song till last as he delivered a master class in bold classic rock.
From the opening bars of House Arrest to  Somebody  from his 1984 album Reckless.he would have the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand and he boy these kids were hungry!

Famous for some fantastic songs and rock ballads, he gave the couples a little moment to share during All I Want Is You , although I am not sure that all the loving looks that I caught were heading in my direction and I could say the same for some of the other men in the audience!
He quickly picked up the pace again with the brilliant Can’t Stop This Thing We Started, which had everyone singing along before dropping the pace a little during Thought I’d Died And Gone To Heavenbefore launching into 18 Til I Die, with a little help from the crowd and a song you don’t hear too often but I enjoy hearing, Back to You.

Maybe quite surprisingly and much earlier than  I expected, came the Summer Of ‘69 and this gets the crowd really going as it seems to be a favourite track most fans, either that or they just wanted an excuse to sing and generally go mental!

After the rocking then comes acoustic set and perhaps our special moment of the night..
(Everything I Do) I Do It For You, a song that may just be as special to us as it may be to many couples all around the world, beautifully sang showing off the fantastic range in Mr Adams voice.
During When You’re Gone, one fan was selected to be Mel C for the night …..and the winner was….Carol, “from Cumbria, now Lincolnshire, half Scottish”, that went down like a lead balloon with the ladies in the house but the girl done good to be honest and avoided the baying crowd of Scottish fans lying in wait for her as she left the stage.
Bryan got the crowd back on track and on his side with beautiful version of Heaven before belting out favourites like, The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You and the classic Run To You!
Closing the show came a list of tunes that could have come from any Bryan Adams fan and not the main man himself.
There Will Never Be Another Tonight, Cloud#9, The Way You Make Me Feel before ending with Straight From the Heart.
A great gig by a great performer, who almost certainly had, not only Tracey but the rest of his fans feeling that they had actually gone to Heaven, here's to you Bryan, you can wake up your Scottish neighbours anytime!
