Redcar SG Petch Bears battled hard, but fell to a 48-42 defeat to the Workington Comets at the Media Prima Arena on Thursday night. The Comets came to Teesside full of confidence, and with a side full of riders who ride the Media Prima well and proved just too strong for the Bears on the night.   Redcar SG Petch Bears continued their good form with a 49-43 win over the Berwick Bandits, but were made to work hard by a determined Berwick side at the Media Prima Arena. The SG Petch Bears have moved swiftly to cover for the injured Tobias Busch by signing Coty Garcia, pending clearance, on a 28 day loan period. The new speedway season is finally upon us, and the Redcar SG Petch Bears start their season this Thursday (30th March) with the annual Julie Lewis Memorial meeting, in memory of former office manager from both Cleveland Park and the Media Prima Arena, Julie Lewis.
