The Champions League Last Night

Seen as though we'll be competing in the aformentioned competition in the next few years I thought I better watch Liverpool and Arsenal duel last night.  It was a good game, make no mistake, but am I the only one who finds the constant Liverpool love-in on ITV tiresome? A love-in that seems to stretch across all networks. They were lucky last night and throughout the tie, very lucky infact. Match In Honour Of Alan Ball

Former Manchester City , Sunderland, Leeds and Coventry boss Peter Reid has spoken of the honour at being named Manager of The England Legends. Reid enthused: “It’s a great ....

Arsenal’s inspired 10 man comeback from 2-0 to beat Bolton at the Reebok was probably the best result from the four, with United easing past Villa 4-0, Chelsea securing an edgy 1-0 win against Boro and Liverpool winning by the same score in a pretty lifeless Merseyside derby.   At the other end of the table, Sunderland made it 2 wins from 2 with a 2-1 win at home to West Ham, easing their relegation fears. ....

France 1-0 England

Fabio Capello ‘merked’ the whole nation, when during the week he announced that Rio Ferdinand would captain England in their friendly against France in the Stade De France. Few would argue that he isn’t an excellent defender, enjoying a very good season at Manchester United, but I just find this rude boy leading our nation in our national sport laughable.          In truth, the game was dire. Capello experimented with a 4-3-2-1 ....
