Is there anybody responsible for, or working on, a sequel to the 2001 book.

Seems as if this could be a good time to be doing this

I think it would be best to have things in place first with regard to the new ownership and have a season under our belt first before we go into print as we can look back on the events of this last three years and put them behind us.

Maybe title it 'Sag of the Silkmen'?

I've been working on a long article over the last few months, basically detailing how turbulent it is to be a Silkmen fan.

Starts off when we get relegated, and details each season or noticeable achievement and will hopefully conclude with a new owner and a huge breath of fresh air.

Maybe I can get involved with whoever was responsible for the book the first time round [^][fb]

Good on you J. No doubt we will be in better straits once you catch up with the current day. Graham Pythian wrote the original one.

In addition to Graham Phythian's 'Saga of the Silkmen', Geoff Knights also published 'Macclesfield Town Football Club: The League Story so far' in 2009.

Since publishing his book, Geoff has produced an update for each subsequent season on the Silkmen Archives website (2nd time I've mentioned the site in the last few hours... [smi]), accessed by clicking on the links for 'Further Chapters' and also for 'Non-League Scene'.

Thanks L&B

Had no idea that these had been produced - were they ever publicised in the programme or on the official website
