Liverpool head into their most important game of the season tonight with manager Rafael Benitez admitting he has made 'regrettable mistakes' in his time at the club before tonight's Europe League tie against Benfica.

Struggling for the final Champions League place in the Premiership and out of the Champions League at the group stages this season, Fernando Torres spoke out this week and said the club sold the wrong players in the summer.

A view that is shared by his club manager- Benitez telling the press that the wrong transfer decisions were made in the transfer window.
He said frankly: "We signed one player that has had a problem for the whole season and we cannot manage."
For the crucial european tie though Benitez is boosted by the return of Fernando Torres- passed fit after resting with an ice pack on the substitutes bench against Birmingham City.
Maxi Rodriguez is inelligible, Ryan Babel and Emiliano Insua are both suspended, meaning there could be starts for both Javier Mascherano and Alberto Aquilani.
Benfica have no fresh injury worries after their 4-2 league win at the weekend and may field the same team at Anfield as the Reds faced in the 2-1 first leg defeat.
