strength in depth?

So far this season, first innings scores 333, 500 and 433. This with Sarwan and Redfern waiting in the wings. Robson has added to the batting unit strength which was unexpected . Cobb now playing to his potential, as is Smith. For the first time in an age, the form of the bats has allowed us to drop an all rounder to strengthen the bowling (v Essex).
It is there with Buck, Smith and Cobb but is now coming to the surface. Coincidence that players are performing and we are Playing better, more positive cricket now that PFW is not head coach?

You say Sarwan and Redfern waiting. Don't forget 133 runs from the last game in Niall O'Brien were missing vs Essex. Also, Shiv Thakor who is arugably our best prospect is still out injured so just looking at the squad, there are options...something we haven't had for years!

Agree. Overlooked the O'Brien situation as Thornely isn't a realistic option and O'Brien had been playing where as the others hadn't. Still very strong and once the batting is strong you can play a stronger bowling line up.
