I would target the six following players:

Joe Gatting
Dan Redfern
Zander De Bruyn
Jon Lewis
Charlie Shreck
Corey Collymore

Leicestershire were whipping boys last season and need wholesale changes to avoid a repeat in 2014.

Not sure about the above. De Bruyn is 38 and Lewis 37. I think either of these woudl be a continuation of a sort term and short sighted policy. Shrek woudl be OK and poss Collymore.

Read in the mockery that we are after 1 bat and 1 bowler. I would have thought 2 bowlers minimum was the order of the day and decent ones at that.

Sorry Foxy, but that list really would send the club in the wrong direction. They are all washed up players (apart from Gatting) that have been released...

We only need 2-3 experienced players because the rest of the squad is there under contract and the youth will be given the chance. With the likes of Taylor, Wells, Sykes and Freckingham all showing promise they deserve there chances.

I'm not sure that we have a "short term" policy. I would say it is more of a "not doing much about stopping the ship sinking policy. Undoubtedly there are promising youngsters and it is right to give them opportunities but they aren't going to do much about winning games any time soon. Bringing in just 2 experienced players is not going to do the trick either unless the committee has found a way of re-incarnating Bradman and Lindwall at the height of their powers.
There is just no sign of a management that is capable of making game changing decisions - and sadly an atmosphere where no one is that much bothered or minded to do much about it.
