We’ve been to Tromsø and we’re now in Narvik, further down the coast.

Tromsø is really touristy and there are loads of places to sell you excursions, whale watching trips, northern lights chasing, dog sledding etc. Everyone speaks really good English (they teach it at school and it appears everyone pays attention).

Narvik is less touristy but people still speak English.

The country is clean, tidy and just about everything works perfectly first time. Scenery is stunning, everything covered by a couple of feet of snow at the moment though. Still beautiful.

Top tip - bring loads of money. It’s cold (-20) at the moment but that won’t be so in the summer. I can’t see prices coming down between now and then though. We’re paying £10 for a pint and £50 for dinner for two.

I'm driving over in my Campervan with two friends so we intend to stock up on food etc when we are in Germany.

Hopefully we will be avoiding most of the touristy parts and heading out into the countryside and wild camping for the whole time we are there.

Really looking forward to it though so glad you are talking so highly about it.

Cheers.

Thumper 😁😁😁😁😁
Even over here £50 for 2 won't buy you much.
Not if you include a bottle of vino.
Pub grub maybe.
Not anywhere decent.

There are plenty of decent campsites that offer small huts that you can sleep ( mostly bunk beds for up to four ) and cook in if the weather turns a bit moody.
I wild camped mostly, but there were a couple of days where they came in very handy.
