Seems so long ago that we won the Championship I'd almost forgotten about that day. Probably due to all the stuff that's gone on since but looking at that photo I can hardly remember it.

Ok, I was definately there as I've just seen a photo of me on the pitch [:I]

Lots of bitterness on twitter about this. It's somewhat beautiful to behold.

I need help here.
If the transgression was not deliberate and centred on an honest interpretation of the rules then why the fine?
If the rules can be assessed in different ways then it is the rules which need redrafting..

I don't think its right to call it a "fine".
Looks to me more like an out of court settlement.
If there are 2 different interpretations of the FFP rules it would be up to the Courts to decide which interpretation was correct.
Not a bad idea to do a deal to avoid all the massive legal expenses of going to Court with the risk that the Judgment might go against you. In which case you would have to pay the Football League's costs as well.

Am I right in thinking that as we are not in the Football league at the moment, then that organisation has not jurisdiction over us and cannot fine us? However they could have held this over hoping that we would get relegated and then charge us in due course.

I guess they have acknowledged that they could be waiting a long time, and have settled 'out of court' as quoted above.
