Schmikes move not ruled out...

...disappointing to see the club putting a price on him instead of saying not for sale. (Mercury online)
Once you mention price it's just a question of when not if.
For me he is a massive part of the spirit which separates us from so many others, being our real captain on the pitch.
Not to mention one of Europe's top five keepers.
We can only hope he is willing to stay but the ManU link has an air of inevitability about it.

We desperately need some cover in the back 4.

Its written in the stars for him to return, can't begrudge him that. We make a good return, get some of the wages reduced down.

its gonna happen, if you put a fresh contract in front of him and he refuses to sign you know hes off.

Kasper has a new agent. This is what new agents do.

Spot on Soho. As soon as he changed agents it was only going to mean one thing.

There's no need for a new contract as he is not far into an existing four year deal.
It hinges on the ManU lad going back to Spain.

So why has he changed agents then if he feels he is still in the early stages of a long term deal.

Some agents are able to secure better deals for all sorts of things which a 'face' can expect to cash in on.
Kasper After Shave anyone?

If I didn't I would not have said it.
Obviously it's a subjective view for a position difficult to assess.
But I reckon he is the one player here who is arguably 'bigger' than the club. He has turned so many 'oh s**t' moments into saves he will take some replacing with no obviously replacement within the club.

I think he's a decent keeper and certainly the best at the club. I don't want him to go but he's far from irreplaceable

He is irreplaceable if we can't attract someone as good/better though isn't he.

Really hope he goes to his beloved Man Ure and that he sits on the bench for a couple of years until he is sold on to a championship club like the one Sven rescued him from
If his name wasnt Schmeical he would be gone and forgotten by now apart from the Thai' s like a "name"

Other than a good shot stopper he is nothing special , winning the Prem with Leicester wil be the highlight of his career
50 million , they are having a laugh

You sell him short IMO.
His distribution, often much quicker than other keepers is good; he bosses 'his' area well and his general optimism and maturity is an asset off the field.
Just a few weeks with RRZ, nice lad that he is, should have been enough to realise what a great signing he proved to be.

He's a massive asset to our football club and if he goes he will be missed.

A couple of seasons ago I thought the goalie was the one position we could improve on. Schmeichel improved himself massively and negated the need for a change.

50 million is a lot of money though. I certainly wouldn't want to see us get much less than that for him.

It's risible, all these people who don't rate Schmeichel and Mahrez. It makes me wonder who of our players they think is worth keeping.

This board is all about opinions, but I really rate him. He is in the top 4 or 5 of Premier League keepers, and if he goes we will not be able to replace him like for like

Like Vardy, he has improved every single season he has been at our football club. I admire him for that.

He is now a top keeper, judged not only by the saves he makes, but by the very few mistakes he has made in the last two seasons.

Without his goalkeeping, we would arguably have taken one point from FC Copenhagen, instead of 4, and could have been struggling to qualify from our group. In the first leg in Seville his penalty save kept us in the tie at a time when we were being overrun, and the one in the second leg preserved one of the club's best ever results.

As an ex keeper, I would agree with Bradnor and Oadlad

KS has improved every season since we bought him and he's top 3 in the Prem

He's also our real captain and invaluable to this club

He is a much better keeper than he was even 4 years ago.
His kicking is still generally shyte.
He is better at crosses than he was.
And his shot stopping is as good as anyone's.

Reported in Italy that Man Utd to offer Real Madrid 210m plus David De Gea for Ronaldo and Alvo Morata.
If that goes through then Kasper may well be heading to Old Trafford. Smalling in part exchange ? Who knows , we could end up with Rooney.
Donnarumma, the Milan keeper was lined up for a move to Real, but Juventus have thrown their hat into the ring.
A move abroad would suit the young Milan keeper , who claims his family have been threatened for his desire to quit the Rossaneri. Madrid or Manchester ? his decision may well influence if Kasper stays or goes ????

Most important player at the club

As good a keeper as he is you can buy another as good

What you can't buy his is influence off the pitch. Has seen it all with LCFC, more of leader than Wes. Massive loss if he were to go.
