Leeds have had some strange results this season and lack the consistency that we as fans crave.  We had a number of very poor performances before Christmas but the away loss to Barnsley was the tipping point for me, the team just didn't turn up and it's Larry's job to get them motivated.  We've still not played well despite beating Burnley and drawing with Crystal Palace, if it wasn't for the red cards would we have had the same results? I don't think we would.

Rumours are rife that Larry has lost the dressing room, had a bust up with Mr Bates, him leaving his wife has imacted our form etc etc.  All these rumours and speculation on why we've had such a slump in terms of performance and results has led to a lot of noise recently about replacing Simon Grayson as Manager of Leeds United.  Neil Warnock (yes that bloke that hates Leeds!!) has even been mentioned as a candidate to replace him (along with several ex-Chelsea players), some Bookmakers were even offering odds on who will replace Larry.  All a bit premature, surely?

Time for a reality check, we're currently well placed to have a good go at getting in the play-offs, assuming of course that we sign some new players to help as some of the current bunch appear to have given up. Equally if we keep up our current form we'll be miles off the play-offs.   Some blame Ken Bates for a lack of investment in the playing squad but Larry's playing squad is mostly made up of his players and a lot of Championship clubs don't get any investment but are holding their own (Barnsley for example).  Some blame Larry's tactical decisions and "losing the dressing room". If the transfer rumours are to be believed we're getting in Delph on loan, we've also signed Robbie Rogers (subject to work permit), Andros Townsend on loan and Larry has said there's a few irons in the fire.  Sounds positive, yes? (not if you speak to some fans!)

I for one want to give Larry a chance to prove that he's the right man for the job, we're not going to get relegated this season (famous last words!)so let's see out the season then take stock.  The more cynical amongst us might think that Uncle Ken is keeping Larry on until the end of the transfer window, then he'll bring someone new in, but that new bloke won't be able to spend a penny as the window will be closed.

So, back to the original point, should Simon Grayson be sacked as Manager of Leeds United?  Please cast your votes here:  http://fansonline.net/leedsunited/poll.php
