Tomorrow sees United host Burnley at a capacity filled Elland Road in an encounter which United need to win should they wish to have any hope of sneaking into sixth place.

Leeds have injury doubts, Luciano Becchio is still touch and go having missed the last two games through a hamstring injury; Barry Bannan also won’t be in contention following Aston Villa recalling the Scottish international after an average loan spell.

Burnley striker Martin Paterson played an hour for the reserves in midweek, scoring in a 3-2 defeat to Preston North End. The Northern Ireland striker seems set to miss Saturday with manager Eddie Howe citing their next clash with Cardiff City being a more realistic return date. Midfielder Dean Marney is still sidelined through a ligament injury.

United will draw upon the 3-2 comeback at Turf Moor for inspiration. Having trailed 2-0 at the interval, goals from Gradel, Becchio and Howson sealed a memorable win for United, though one would suspect Burnley may be seeking revenge.

The visitors currently occupy eighth place in the league table, one place and point above United.
