Official text from the club has been issued to say that Faye has joined on a short term deal until January the 8th.  The official site has just confirmed the deal also.

The Senegal international signed this this morning.  He's a strong battling midfielder that the squad has been missing since Micky Doyle went back to Coventry, or at least we hope.

Faye has made 181 appearances in the Premier League for Portsmouth, Newcastle, Charlton and more recently Stoke.  Scoring only 1 goal in those 181 games, which just shows the denfensive nature of Faye's game.

This could signal the end of Neil Kilkenny's time in the team, as Jonny Howson is very unlikely to be dropped for Faye. This could be some weeks away though as the new signing needs to get his fitness up.
