A lot has been made of the Roy Hodgson’s appointment as England manager – so much, in fact, it’s difficult to veer away from the somewhat infectious saga in everyday life.

The journalists that sought to seat Redknapp upon his ready-made throne from the very start have been baffled by the ignorance he has duly received and, subsequently, defend him to the hilt. Hodgson, meanwhile, has won the support of those that know him best and those that have even the meekest confidence in Club England to select a manager worthy of the cause.

For all the arguments and the somewhat callow diatribe that has been thrown either way, though, no-one has endeavoured to find out, at least statistically, who is the better manager. Here, for your perusal, you have the ultimate comparison of these two adroit footballing minds and, even though the facts will be laid bare, I’ll be making no judgements. That’s all for you.
