Sky Sports football pundit Matthew Le Tissier has backed Peter Crouch to do a job for Engl;and in the 2012 Euro Championships this summer.

Crouch, who has been out of favour of late, his last appearance for the national side being in November 2010, scored on Saturday for Stoke in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal, prompting Le Tissier to say: "I would have him in my squad all day long. He is a good option and I think he should be given a chance."

And the former Portsmouth and Spurs striker has also been given the thumbs up by his current boss Tony Pulis: “[Ten goals] is enough for him to be on the plane [to Poland and Ukraine],” Pulis told Talksport.

“If he doesn’t get on the plane, I won’t be disappointed. I’ll be surprised because he has been that good for us."

England face France, Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine in their group in the summer tournament.
