So the rumour mill rumbles on and its that time of year for the "bloke I work with " etc to spill the beans. From past history we know most of it to be a load of old tosh but every now and again you get a decent tip.

The West Terrace doesn’t usually get involved in rumours and tittle tattle, only when we get passed something which seems to have more credibility than most of the stories doing the round do we pass on the information.

It’s looking like Mr Westwood and Mr King will be heading down the wrong end of the ’69 before too long, no other Club willing to take the risk and stump up the 50k a week asking price for the latter.

My initial thought was why Leicester? A football club with no history to think of apart from a few League Cup wins when the top teams would either try get out of playing in the competition altogether or would give the reserves and kids a run out. A Club that’s had more owners than a second hand Ford Escort.

They are not amongst the elite who can say they have won the greatest Club competition in the world which undoubtedly is the F.A cup.

Sven is there but lets be honest, the phone will ring i.e from West Ham or some other premiership club and he will be offski. The owners dont fill you with optimism over their long term strategy and it could all end in tears…again.

So it must be money and not the glamour of a football club with proven credentials in the Coca cola or milk ......****insert name here*****cup.

Marlon is looking for a pay day and fair play to him, he has done us a favour and will move on. The debate will start all over again to the morals of signing him and it will be fun watching certain members of these forums back peddling like clowns on a uni-cycle. (I’ll be settling down in the front row with my cola and a bag of popcorn) but if he bangs the goals in it will soon calm down.

Westwood, if he goes will be doing the same but at his age I’m surprised at his lack of ambition. Having said that, no one from the Premier has come knocking on our door and lets be honest, a very good keeper, but at the same time every keeper who has come to the Ricoh has played a blinder. Money talks and I wish them well wherever they go, but if they both end up at the other end of the M69 where they have a rich history of, err… nothing of note, I will have a chuckle to myself if they continue to fall at the last or even first hurdle.

Maybe more info on Mr Ranson to come soon, remember where you heard it first!
