Will our ground need another deep clean?

Wonder if the seagulls and pigeons have been leaving deposits at Bloomfield Rd whilst we are all on lockdown.

Buckets and cleaning cloths at the ready lads[rle]

Defo, already having sleepless nights thinking of the work needed by our small group of volunteers. Down to about 8 of us now. Good time to revolunteer folks when BST ask for volunteers?

Surely the club is operated on a more professional level than when the leave it and let it fester family vacated?.Also noticed that rusty steelwork hasn't been touched!.

Sorry folks but I cringe when I see all the volunteers posing for pictures inside the ground with their marigolds on and plastic buckets,

Lets get professional and have a proper industrial cleaning firm brought in and properly sanitize the Stadium,

Sick and tired of the look at me parade.

Poor comments Kseasider, those 'posing volunteers' did a super job towards the end of the Oystain reign, when the club needed them.

I do agree though, that now we are in the Sadler era, there should be no need for their services to undertake a similar task.

Kseasider, real fans giving their time and doing tiring hard work for nothing other than the love of BFC.

Yes, on a few days cameras were present but what about the majority of days when they werenít there. You should be embarrassed with those comments you made about our fans. At least they were there working, with or without cameras.

I do agree however that it should be cleaned by a professional company. Circumstances were different as it had been neglected by the Oystains for years, they hadnít spent a penny on it.

Hopefully SS wonít need the fans in this regard.

At no time did any of the volunteers ask or expect to have their photos taken be on videos or anything else.
All we are doing is helping OUR club in our own little way.
I know it's helped me to feel part of BFC again and for that I will always be grateful.
So I find it difficult why some fan's criticise us.
Not that it bothers me I will volunteer whenever I can if needed in the future. UTMP

All about opinions peeps,

Now that the dossers have been kicked to the curb I want the club to operate like proffesionls ,

My view about the marigolds and bucket brigade stands,

So you really think the fans were there day after day just for the cameras so they could pose?

Very sad you have such a negative, cynical view of our fans. Donít suppose you noticed but, the vast majority of those fans were of the older generation, like myself who have been coming to Bloomfield Rd for 40/50 yrs plus.

Your well out of order there[:(]

Kseasider is entitled to his opinion. Even if it is mean, nasty and completely wrong.

None of those volunteers did the job for glory. There isn't much to be had when you are breathing in pigeon sh**.

If K wants to slag anyone, he could try Raggy, Grimmy and the other MSG hangers on who swanned in when the job was nearly done, posed for a couple of photos with the groundsman, and then f***ed off.

Maybe we will need the services of Eddie the eagle, or hawk as I think it was, back from its Cumbrian roost to once more clear out those verminous pigeons and gulls various unloading on all and sundry from their hideaways in the roof.

Its uncertain when football will start again and most of the BFC staff have been furloughed. So I expect seat cleaning to occur when we know football with fans will start again, so it only has to be done once. It's not worth doing it now if we have another few months of pigeons and gulls messing everything up.

Seriously poor comments there kseasider. Stating that a professional clean is now the right approach and deriding volunteers are two different things. Either way I think it will be a while yet before it's needed.

I knew when I posted it would go against the grain of the happy clappy scarfer brigade who have no idea of who I am and they've been going before anyone else.

Well cast your minds back to the seventies when real volunteers were needed to clear the pitch of snow, which we did and beat Watford that day.

I stood on the Kop, wasn't worried about my comfy seat.

P.S. I donít know if you noticed but they never had seats on the Kop back then so you would have to stand[:O] Doh!

Even back on the Kop now, very rarely do I sit down, even with a seat.

You might be a half decent lad and probably even contributed to the Andy Watson Buy a Player Fund but you donít knock and insult fans for doing their best for the club they love.[:P]

My sentiments entirely Cof I would never make disparaging remarks about some fan's volunteering even if I disagree with them doing that.
It gives you an insight into the way some people think.
Anyway my last point on this o/p when somebody makes remarks like these and we have had similar ones before.
It just makes me more determined to carry on volunteering if and when required.

Just reminding us all why the ground might need the deep clean in the first place.
