I have previously posted my uncertainty about the strength of members of Simon Sadlers Board members (Simon & Brett excluded despite their flag🤣)
But I would personally like to thank Ben Mansford for all his hard work since Simon Grayson left the club and congratulate him & the board in the exciting potential our new Head Coach brings to the club and 100% back this appointment.
I was really impressed by what Ben said at the Press Conference and the “vision” he has for the Academy & associated new training facilities that I fully trust and believe this new owner and all his board will deliver.
I now have 100% confidence that all the current board of Directors are taking the club in the right direction.
I also appreciate the job that David Dunn has done in very difficult & turbulent circumstances.
I’m excited once again what the future holds so let’s all once again push in the same direction Owner,Board,Management,Players,Club Employees & Fans (Customers) alike..........🚌#91

Yep, and Robinson, Jones and co can do one.

The support team choices will be interesting. Dunn has done nothing wrong and a lot of things right. Wonder if he will get a role?

My guess is Dunn will be kept on for a few months then let go.

Surely the time for 'congratulations' is when we actually win something?

At the moment, we've appointed a manager...I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's been done before.[:P]

Yes. That will be when his contract expires (at the end of the season).

Provided Mr Crichley is allowed to get on with team matters and not interfered with from above, all will be fine.

We should say to any new incoming manager...
"You will work with our existing and loyal staff, rather than replace them with your new choices".

That was what Koko said to Holloway and why Steve Thompson stayed. For all his faults, at that time Koko had that one right (though for the wrong reasons - he simply did not want to pay severance). Shame that he then binned ST later when he cleared out the managerial team.

One of your better posts here bus every credit .of course ITBOTWT.onwards and upwards very exiting times ahead I had my doubts my self pal this shows a letter of content and that the club is certainly going in the right direction.like Brett has said in the past we have the dream owner and he seems he’ll bent on taking our club on to the next journey where ever this may take us.i can quit honestly say that with the right management in place and the club getting back in to the community and what is going to happen with the training ground the academy that we are starting to feel like a lot bigger football club all ready let’s face it Rome was never built in a day slowly slowly catch a monkey. I can now see SS business model and where he would like to take the club I would be more than happy for us to hold our own in the championship and where ever we go after that is a bonus because let’s face it premiership Football has become a business rather than a sport because the likes of Man City have ruined the league with all oil money. It is a bold, ambitious appointment and should be welcomed by all fans.

Here is a guy who is a highly qualified and regarded coach who up until yesterday was employed by currently the best club side in the world.

Klopp had sufficient confidence to let him manage the 'first' team on a couple of occasions, once in a fierce local derby cup tie.

The guy obviously has personal ambitions, otherwise he would not have taken the job. He could wilt under the pressure of being No. 1 but hopefully will bloom and develop, along with his new charges

I sort of get where you may be coming from, from a long-term perspective BFCX3 but in the short-term Ben Mansford & the board have evidently worked hard, made approaches in an appropriate & professional manor and secured the services of a head coach who the majority of ”true” fans (the likes of you & OG may beg to differ) are feeling excited and positive about.
Collectively that’s a positive, the club has once again got it’s Mojo back, and for that and that alone, the board should be “Congratulated” in my opinion👍.......🚌#91

I can't speak for OG, but I am certainly feeling positive and I am glad that the board have appointed a new manager.Hopefully the appointment will be another step in the right direction.

I think OG has raised a valid point in his O/P on here and I don't think he's being negative by raising it. I'm hoping that recruitment is a subject that will get some detailed attention in the fans forum tomorrow.

Ben Mansford certainly paints a very positive picture of a modern and different Blackpool moving forward and that is certainly very exciting to hear. It's definitely gives me hope that we are moving in the right direction and adds to the excitement and buzz around the Club at this time.

All that said, I'll save the champagne popping and congratulations for when we actually win something, because ultimately results on the field are what matters.
