Hardie again
After Plymouth go down to nine men. Jinked his way into the box and fired under the keeper. This boy is looking good and should do well for us next season.

Hardie again
Carlisle - on as sub after 71 mins, scored after 75 to make it 3-0 Plymouth
Mansfield - on after 69, made it 3-1 on 90
Stevenage - on after 83, made it 2-1 after 85
Salford - on after 78, scored on 90 to win it 3-2
Bradford - on at half time, got a late consolation on 87

Made three starts, yet to complete a full game. Subbed off after 45 in the 3rd of those.

Must have some sort of potential to be a goal threat, but more effective against tiring league two defences when he's fresher?

Hardie again
Yes I think he'll be back. Any new manager will want a look at him after that record.
Also, the Plymouth manager knew he wasn't getting a fully fit, match hardened player, and said as much. But he was sure he'd got a good striker and was prepared to work on his fitness. Strength and fitness can be worked on. An eye for goal is more an innate quality. I'm sure he'll come good, and I hope it's with us.

Hardie again
Started last night.

Hit the post
Scored a solo goal running from the hallway line and rounded the keeper
Followed in and finished a scrambled shot off the line ( credited to Jephcott who had the shot by the PA ) but to hardline by the ref

2nd half

Lovely chipped pass to Jephcott who hit the bar , keeper beaten
Flicked finish just kept out by keeper

Subbed ( limping) on 85 mins

His best game for us...looks sharp and a natural finisher....quick and in control...

If we go up his loan will have been a massive part of it....

You should be getting a very confident striker back at the end of it.

Hardie again
Thanks or the positive comments pafcprogs. [^]

Was always confusing to me why we sent Hardie out on loan when we could have easily sent you a 750,000 lump instead.

Hardie again
I'll be honest the reaction when he came back and Jephcott was recalled from Troro where he was on loan was , shall we say underwhelming.

They have between them scored 13 goals in thirteen games (12 for Hardie) and yet have only played together four times...yesterday was the first time they started together but to be fair Grimsby were not great.

There is already a groundswell to try and sign him for next season....as I think Ryan Taylor will be taking his glass ankles to pastures new...
