Gazette reporting heís thrown his hat in the ring. Might have been better to keep it quiet though.

Sounds like heís just playing at it reading his article. Bit like when Paul Stewart told us he might be involved in buying the club.

I like GTF but you donít tend to go public if youíre serious. Best thing he can do for us is see what the interview process is like and let us all know if he gets that far.

If we're going to choose from the Welsh leagues we might as well take Dave Challinor with numerous promotions in our own lower leagues.

No doubt if it is true then some will come on here and say what a great appointment it would be despite the fact he has zilch managerial experience at this level.

Good player for us but too early for a manager whereas Evo has some experience behind (albeit at a lower level) and is proving his worth.

Surely no chance? No experience, prefer Evo who has

Agree if itís true about Evo then GTF has no chance.

Anyway is he a drinking buddy of Ben? [rle]

GTF has a great footballing brain, is ambitious and I've heard that he interviews very well.

Unfortunately, as everyone else has stated he seriously lacks the experience. He needs either success in non-league or a spell as a number 2 at league level.

His ambition might count against him though in getting a job as a number 2 as a lot of gaffers will be worried he is after their job.

The problem any third tier club has is attracting the right man where the established faces are probably looking for a Championship club.
In that respect-like the Seasiders did with Grayson-they look to someone to make a start in management, and someone who inevitably has connections with the club.

It can work,it can fail but the owner needs to be absolutely sure he can trust the manager with the investment he's providing, and thats the big issue at any club.
