We need a high profile manager

What ever happens as a club with a new owner we need to be striding to a more experienced manager with a decent profile rather than trying to stride to look at managers like Murphy how ever only a fabricated story that is doing the rounds.thinkSS needs to go for the jugular and offer the job to some one with a profile like Chris houghton we need a manager that is going to put bums on seat personally think that SS has a lot to learn as a owner of a club and needs to learn very quickly because up to now I don’t think that he is being guided in the right direction it would appear that as a club we don’t seem to be able to attract a high profile manager which says to me only the drecks of the barrel of managers are interested.up to press there does not seem to be that calibre of manager that wants the job.please SS wake up smell the coffee and bring a high profile manager to the club other wise we will go backwards as a club.

Chris Hughton is going to put bums on seats is he? Well, he's put an "o" in his name according to you, so anything is possible, LOL.

She’d understand a Jones wanted the job pal but his family were not prepared to relocate there roots from where they are staying you can hardly blame his mrs for that and all so he is waiting to see what happens with the Bristol rovers managerial position should there present manager get potted this is what I have been told from some ITK information weather this is true or not only time will tel.

I’am sure Pep didn’t want to drag his family to Manchester but he did.

If a manager wants a job enough he’ll jump at the chance and not make lame excuses.

Mellon lives on the Fylde coast as does Evatt but it doesn’t stop them managing clubs elsewhere.

For me Jones doesn't want the job enough so stuff him what’s the betting we’ll see him at a bigger club next season?

This is where SS is showing his inexperience as a new owner of a Football club you only have to take a look at the list of managers that are interested in taking the job.just a shame that CA has not got his badges yet or the experience as a Manager because he is the type of person that would put bums on seats with may be him and Evatt as a coaching team as CA as a player coach with Keith southern in the back room that would be a dream set up.seems that know body really wishes to apply for the job very sad after all us fans have gone through you would have thought there would be a few high profile managers chomping at the bit to take the job but obviously not.

Horse cart? Cart Horse?

Bolting the stable door etc.

I suppose my point is that when Grayson left we were 15th in the table on 35 points (happy to be corrected as I didn’t actually write it down).

Any lower than that at the end of the season then the Grayson Out Brigade may have a few questions to answer (and yes I know they can play the “but where would we have been if we’d kept Grayson” card - which is desperate).

Hughton is not a manager that would excite fans.

As for Jones not wanting to re-locate to the Fylde, he has just managed Luton and Stoke, doesn't say much for Blackpool[sad].

"...when Grayson left we were 15th in the table on 35 points...

"Any lower than that at the end of the season then the Grayson Out Brigade may have a few questions to answer..."

Lower would likely result from Dunn's retention, or Barry-Murphy/Heck appointed.

blackhorse

Never suggests fatalism.

Blackpool might draw a high profile manager in the not too distant future.

kev

The Tangerines would need, at least, restored Championship status.

High profile? Not sure what that means. It's league one. We've just got rid of the highest profile one we could have for the level surely.

I just want to feel like there's a plan behind bringing a new manager in that's more than just reacting to fans doing twitter polls or only getting someone in because they got a good deal on it.

I want to feel like the board have a clear idea of who they want and what they want them for. Or else they should have just kept Grayson and offered more help and public support to see if all wasn't a lost cause, and if it could be settled down again. Mediated between the fans/players/chief exec and manager if that was the problem. Find out why things had changed and moved away from what was working. And had a less chaotic transfer window that didn't seem to unfold with much in the way of joined up thinking.
