If Blackpool are punching above their weight then it's fair to say that Charlton have struggled to come to terms at a level lower than they're used to which could make for an interesting afternoon on Saturday at Bloomfield Road. Saints Don't Go Marching On ..

The weather was the real winner on Tuesday night with two games postponed in the Championship, but the one surviving fixture saw Southampton go down 2-0 at home to Plymouth. I was showing a friend the Championship table tonight and he couldn't believe the teams that were struggling (what I think he meant was he couldn't believe the teams who were below Blackpool but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt!). Defence Decimated As 'pool Lose

To lose one defender pre-match is bad enough let alone two but then to lose two further defenders in the first 30 minutes of a game can only lead to one result and 'Pool fell to another away defeat. With Kaspars suspended and Stephen Crainey out of the side, the Seasiders had to bring back John Hills which was the only change to the side which drew against Wolves. In front of a big crowd at Portman Road, Ipswich had the better of the first period, but couldn't break down a Blackpool defence ....
