It would seem that everyone gets a second chance at Bloomfield Road. Having spurned the opportunity to join the Seasiders after his loan spell last season in favour of a move to Norwich, it would appear that Ian Holloway is knocking on the door of Alan Gow. Ollie revealed at last night's Deepdale Revisited that he has been in touch with Gow's agent and for £200k and suitable wages, the striker could return.

If you ever really want to find out what's happening at the seaside, it would appear the 'ask the manager' nights are the place to be as once again the Blackpool boss revealed where he's up to with his potential targets. The name of Alan Gow was a surprise to many, especially as he failed to make any impact at the Canaries who were eventually relegated. Not so surprising was that his Rangers team mate Charlie Adam was mentioned and it looks like that saga could be resolved by Monday. Again agents are involved and so don't hold your breath.

Elsewhere, whilst the rest of us panic that there is no movement behind the scenes, Ollie revealed that his phone has been red hot. All the rumours about Neil Eardley would appear true with that ball in Karl Oyston's court as he looks to talk to the Oldham Chairman about the international right back whos' widely rated by Latics fans. A move for him would give competition for Danny Coid and free up Alex Baptiste to join Edwards and Evatt in the centre.

It would seem that Tuesday's trip to Liverpool could pay dividends. Nathan Ecclestone, an 18 year old striker at Anifield was talked about in conversation. England youth international Eccleston is a fast striker currently learning his trade in the Liverpool reserves. In keeping with what he's done at previous clubs, looking abroad, Holloway has now secured a licence to sign foreign players. On the back of this a Belgium trialist who is described as a left winger is being looked over and Ollie mentioned a striker who could be something special.

With the start of the season just 15 days away, it's good to hear there's plenty going on behind the scenes, whether Ollie can turn that in to signings remains to be seen, but even the boss isn't wholly optimistic that everything will be in place by August 8th at Loftus Road.
