Villa’s bid to get their topf-our bid back on track could be boosted by a lack of strikers in the opposition camp when West Ham visit on Sunday afternoon.

MON’s team have few injury worries, but West Ham’s woes are piling up.

Villa will revert to keeper Brad Friedel despite deputy Brad Guzan hacing shone in cup games. Luke Young and Carlos Cuellar could also return in defence.

West Ham, though, have a striker crisis: Guillermo Franco picked up an injury in training and Carlton Cole, Luis Boa Morte and Kieron Dyer are still out with knee injuries.

Teenagers Frank Nouble and Freddie Sears are the most likely choices up front.

Scott Parker and Mark Noble should play - but Herita Ilunga and Danny Gabbidon remain sidelined.
