| Personally, I like the idea of having a maximum sentence for all crimes. The thought that you can cold-bloodedly execute 75 children and be walking free in less than a quarter of a century excites me. Can you imagine the fear in England if Sutcliffe, Nilsen, West, Huntley, Allitt etc were all released into the community to wreak their special brand of havoc before they'd even started to go grey? Well worth considering IMO. I'd love to have a pint with Breivik in 2035. *Edit - I've just read that Colin Ireland died in February, can't believe that news slipped under my radar. RIP, a true martyr. | |
