I shall be partaking in the consumption of some ale in the above areas this Saturday night, feel free to recommend any ale houses as we will be at a 50th wedding anniversary in 'The Lindford' later that night.....[^][:P]

Bradgate across the road from the Linford isn't bad from memory - decent food and Everard's beer. Wouldn't touch the Field Head in Markfield. Coach and Horses wasn't too bad last time I was there...

The Field Head at Markfield is one of the worst pub/ restaurant / hotels I have ever come across.

haven't been in the bradgate in 25 years, hot summer nights were fun though. something about being in a village pub in the summer is so much nicer than being in the town center.

the bulls head in woodhouse eves is nice if a bit further away.

The beer in the Linford is not as cheap as some may suggest, Carling is around 3.70.
The Coach and Horses in Anstey has Pedigree around 2.70, Carlsberg and Burton Bitter 2.40

Have a nice 'do'

Couple of pints (Stowford Press) in The Coach & Horses (Cider as it's too hot for ale at the minute) had fish & chips but I think the fish ate a Feckin skeleton before it was caught, nice pint of Aspalls in The Field Head before mooching into Newtown Linford....

In The Bradgate now and wished I had listened to earlier advice as the pizzas look Feckin marvellous, on to The Linford it is then and hopefully a few proper cheese & onion cobs....[^]
