United vs Bees

After the midweek delights of the FA Cup it’s back to Coca Cola League One for Leeds as a trip to London in the shape of Brentford awaits Simon Grayson’s men at Griffin Park. With December being a crucial month for the club, Brentford away presents Leeds with three very winnable points.

United lead the table by four points with a game in hand on 2nd placed Charlton Athletic. Brentford’s first season in League One sees them two points above the relegation zone in 18th place.

Brentford’s top goal scorer is Charlie MacDonald, who’s scored five goals in all competitions from 16 appearances. The man to watch in midfield for the Bees is name many have heard of – John Bostock. Bostock who’s still only 17-years-old and on loan from Tottenham Hotspur has two assists from five appearances to his name.

Leeds United welcomes back Sam Vokes and Max Gradel into the fold, while Capaldi and Andy Hughes will fight it out for the left back spot.  Shane Higgs and Bradley Johnson are back in training but still big doubts for tomorrow’s clash. Central defenders Patrick Kisnorbo and Richard Naylor will still be unavailable.

Form wise, United are undefeated in 11, while Brentford are undefeated at home since October 3rd. This is also the first meeting between United and the Bees since 1961, Don Revie just months into his Leeds tenure. Brentford succumbed to a 4-1 loss that day.

Prediction: Leeds 2-0.
