Even so, anglers have found fish keen to feed on an evening, when fish have been seen in abundance on the surface. This has lead to some excellent sport on the dry flies with Black Hoppers and Daddies taking a lot of fish.The bank along from the Tower is still sees the best rises. S. Gilbey caught the fish of the week with a hard fought 5lb 8oz rainbow. Several other fish caught during the week have been 4lb plus. Bait anglers continue to see Hunter House as the prime location with ledgered Powerbait, cast in the direction of the Tower or the Sailing Club. Best Flies: Consett Budgie, Diawl Bach, Kate McLaren, Bibio, Hoppers. Best Baits Powerbait Eggs and worm cocktail Best Locations: North Bank, Hunter House.
