"matt" Finish Gives Padgett Stage Victory
Nottingham's PDC player Matt Padgett polished off his first visit to the Streamline Taxis York Open Darts Championship, a York Darts Promotions Event, by defeating York's Chris Thompson 5-4 in The Stage 3 Final.
Padgett included legs of 14-16-17-23 and 22 against Thompson's 17-16-18-18 legs to edge out his PDC counterpart, who was making his 3rd successive stage final appearance.

York's Rich Corner dented Chris Thompson's bid for a second Stage victory in The Streamline Taxis York Open Darts Championship held at Huntington WMC. A 16 dart opener from Corner was cancelled out by 18 from Thompson. Corner took the next three legs in 15-20-13 to open up a 4-1 lead. A 180 for 20 darts was Thompsons final input as Corner took the 7th leg in 24 darts to win the Stage two ....
