| I genuinely hope that whatever anthems are played are respected by all parties but I fear this will not be the case. Cowplainman managed to mix the word English when talking of the cup final and British when referring to the anthem and this is what irks most folk this side of the border, i.e. the way that GSTQ is treated as an English anthem AND a British anthem as if the two were the same thing. All English are British (as are all Welsh) but not all British are English!! Don't the English commonwealth games team use Land of Hope and Glory for this very reason? If the cup is English then why are CCFC, Swans, Wrexham, Merthyr & Newport invited and why is an English anthem not played? I wonder why we do have an anthem at what is a purely domestic tournament? Do we play an anthem at the domestic cricket finals? rugby? Not sure of the latter but pretty sure we don't at the former. Tricky one......... | |

| Lets hope we get God Save the Queen as well as Land of My Fathers and Land of Hope and Glory! A XXXXXXing anthem-fest! Is Prince William "Wales" presenting the cup? I've worked with too many of you taffs to hate you lot. Most of them were top lads. Loyal to the core. | |
